We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Sorority House Director.
Salary, lodging, and meals are provided. This position requires the individual to live in the house and spend each evening there. The House Director must work congenially and cooperatively to support the sorority members who reside in the house and effectively manage its operation. The candidate must have successful leadership and management experience and expertise working with college-age students or similar managerial experience.
General Job Description
The House Director resides at the house.
The House Director represents the chapter house and must possess superb managerial and communications skills. She must be comfortable working closely with collegiate members, alumnae volunteers, staff, and vendors/contractors. The House Director must keep their focus during emergencies, understand the need for discretion, and maintain confidentiality. She must be accessible and approachable. Attention to detail and careful record-keeping are also essential attributes. In addition to the specific duties detailed below, the House Director shall perform other job duties as assigned by the chapter or house corporation from time to time.

Specific Duties
Facilitate adherence to all rules and regulations as they apply to the house.
Implements HCB policies and procedures.
Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with students, parents, alumnae, service providers, and community resources.
Be present and available to the chapter and its members in a personable and professional manner.
Manage the day-to-day activities, including coordinating and communicating effectively with vendors, staff, etc., with patience and a positive attitude.
Act as a representative and attend events at the chapter house whenever asked.
Coordinate with the chapter to ensure support of chapter operations and activities.
Foster relations with University officials as well as other House Directors.
Required to Stay in the house nightly unless approved and coverage is available.
Required Qualifications
Experience in business, human resources, hospitality, or related fields.
Must have a 2-4 year college degree.
Must have at least 3-5 years of House Manager/House Director Experience with a proven track record.
Minimum 25 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license and personal automobile with valid insurance.
Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel; Adobe PDF documents; scanning; e-mail, faxing, etc. You must also be able to communicate via text when necessary.
Must be physically active and able to perform normal physical functions, including climbing stairs, lifting, bending, and stretching. Must have the ability to climb up and down several flights of stairs at one time, multiple times a day, and lift 25 pounds if necessary.
Attention to detail and analysis for forecasting.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a fraternity/sorority house director and/or working with college students.
Ability to communicate and understand basic accounting software principles.
Property management experience.
Other Specifications
Studio Apartment inside of Fraternity.
Some meals are provided during the academic calendar.
Pay commensurate with experience. Starting Salary: $50,000.
Cell phone and health insurance stipends are paid monthly.
Paid time off.
This is a smoke, alcohol, and firearms-free environment.
We will consider applicants with a small dog under 25 pounds and a non-violent breed.
